Hello to you today. I hope your week is going well?
I thought I would share a card today I made with the lovely new stamp set Let It Ride from Stampin' Up! I wasn't into horses that much until a year ago when our second daughter decided she wanted to get involved with horses for her Bronze Duke of Edinburgh!!!! Well here we are over a year later and she is totally besotted with them in every aspect...riding, caring for them, learning about them, working with them...the lot!!!!
So when I saw this set in the new Spring/Summer book it was top of my list...and I have to say I am not disappointed.
This is my first play with it, and it has colouring, which is always therapeutic!
So I used a nice clean layout style and added some of the Share What You Love designer series papers.
The accent darker colour is Blackberry Bliss which is beautiful, but can be a little unforgiving to stamp with!!! It always seems to end p where it shouldn't if you aren't super careful and vigilant!! Well for me anyway :-)
I coloured the horse with Stampin Blends, the Crumb Cake one, my daughter will have some comment about which horse it reminds her of, or tell me I should have coloured it some specific way, but I kept it simple for this one.
Once I have finished I have added some of the wooden embellishments from the sale-a-bration flier, which I earned for free for spending the qualifying amount of £45.
They are really lovely, and add some great natural element to a card. I'm pretty sure you can colour them too, but I will try and let you see how I get on...
I kept the inside simple too, but thought you might like to see the wording...great for all sorts of occasions in life.
Of course don't forget the free tutorial available, with orders through my online, or simply ordering the Piece of Cake bundle.
You can get to my shop by clicking on the button to the side, and any order you place will get you an little something extra from me if you use the hostess code there too.
Thank you for visiting today and I hope you come again soon. You can drop your email in the subscribe box on the side and see overtime I post and share.
See you again soon xx
