Good morning, well here we are back to have a look at the stamp set of the week, Dragonfly Dreams.
Todays card uses the bumble bee image in the set, which I wasn't sure about to be honest. It is an image that didn't really make sense to me. Bumble bees are very majestic creatures, but as far as I am concerned they just sting!!!!!
Anyway, I made a card and actually really liked it, so maybe I should look at bumble bees in a new light...
This card is really bright and cheerful, I love the yellow Pineapple Punch. The bumble bee was stamped using a two step technique.
I stamped the yellow background image in the Pineapple Punch.
Then used black to stamp the detailed bumble bee over the top. This as you can see, really makes the image pop amazingly! Think this is why my idea of bumble bees is slightly mellowed!! I stamped three of these little creatures.
These three images I then cut out using the square from the stitched shapes framelits.
The card uses the Hexagons dynamic textured embossing folder which is gorgeous. If you haven't used these dynamic embossing folders before they are really amazing. They give so much more dimension and texture than the usual embossing folders. And this is what I used on the background sheet of the yellow layer.
So I hope you are inspired by the Dragonfly Dreams and inspired to get creating yourself.
Thank you for stopping by today and see you again soon.
