Sunday 3d project...

Hi folks, a bit later today...it's been a busy manic few days and not had chance to get ahead in my usual way. But we are here now and I have the alternate Sunday 3d project to share today, with instructions. Not sure why I used cm's today, obviously that is what the size of the bar of chocolate worked best in...

These are some little chocolate boxes, that open to hold the bar in a little tray. It could easily be adapted for any size bar.
This picture shows them open (I forgot to take these outside so the quality isn't quite as good, sorry).

So they open like a little book and there instead of pages is a lovely bar of chocolate...always a good thing!!!! These are a great bar from Aldi. You get 5 in a pack but I can't remember the cost, but good value!

And how do we make it, simply with a couple of pieces of card stock.

The tray for this particular one needs a piece 13.5cm x 7.5 cm.
You need to score along each side at 1cm and then cut each corner as shown and stick to make the tray effect.

The outer wrap around part, that will look a bit like a boy needs to be 13cm x 12cm.

You need to score on the 13cm side at 6cm and again at 7cm.

This will fold and the tray piece should fit inside with a little border.

Before you add any designer paper, you need to stick a coupe of pieces of matching ribbon so that it comes neatly out from under the paper in order to tie the box shut.

Then you can stick you layer of designer paper on, which needs to be 11.5cm x 5.5cm.

I used double sided tape for most of my construction as it is quick and easy. If you use wet glue allow time for it to dry and all parts to be fully secure.

Once you have your cover and tray pieces ready I would recommend wet glue to stick the tray inside, as it will allow for you to slide it around and get it positioned centrally. I do love glue that gives us wiggle room!!!

So, I hope you like this little project and can understand my instructions...please message me if you have problems and or questions.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you get a chance and want to try these yourself...if you do, please feel free to share them with us. I know I would love to see them.

See you again soon.
