Mother's Day!

Now this is a very slight risk to show you this card, as it is obviously for Mothering Sunday, but my mum is having problems with her computer so hopefully she won't see this before the day!!!!

I have made this with one of my new sets of stamps from the mini catalogue. This is the gorgeous Playful Petals (113728). It is lovely for cutting and layering, which is what I have done here. The shapes seem to naturally curl up adding further dimension. I have also used some of the coordinating DSP Tea Party (115158). As an independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator I have been able to place some pre-orders and this is just a tease really as you can't order them yourselves yet. The catalogue will launch on 1st April, and that will be the exciting moment for ordering. So you still have a week or so to make up that wish list and re-write it again.

The inside of my card hasn't for some reason photographed at all well, which is strange as I took the photos in the same place and at the same time (!?), but I have used the sentiment from Occasional Grettings (110520), which is a great all round use set of stamps. I stamped it in Pretty in Pink to match all the other Soft Subtle colours used for the front. The additional flower was added inside to continue the floral theme and add some interest.

The envelope is a first for me, a first for masking!!! How long have I known about this technique but never used it?? and now I have it was sooo easy!!!! It looks great too on the front, I will certainly be using that technique more often.

Thanks for popping by and please leave a comment if you have liked what you have seen :)

This is beautiful Jane - I'm wishing I'd bought that set now! Love the way you've turned the corner back.
